Statement of Doctrinal Creeds
Romans 16:17
The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ
We believe in the divine nature of the Lord Jesus Christ, John 1:1,14; Revelation 1:6-8, 19:16. That he is both fully man and fully God in one person, that “God was manifest in the flesh”, 1 Timothy 3:16. That he is not a created God, a lesser God, or another God, but equal “with” God, Philippians 2:6. As fully God and as fully man he is both our God and our Saviour, Titus 2:10,13.
The Godhead
We believe in the tri-unity of God, commonly called the trinity. That God is one God, yet three distinct persons which the bible thrice calls the “Godhead”, Acts 17:29; Romans 1:20; Colossians 2:9.
God is the Father, Matthew 11:25; 1 Thessalonians 1:1; 2 Peter 1:17.
God is the Son, John 13:13, 20:28; Colossians 1:15.
God is the Holy Spirit, Acts 5:3,4; 2 Corinthians 3:17; Hebrews9:14.
The tri-unity of God is expressly revealed in the scriptures Genesis 1: 26; Zechariah 3:2; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:7.
Salvation
We believe that a man must be “born again” to be saved; John 3:1-7. That to be born again is totally independent of a man’s religion, tradition, education, or works and that it is a gift of God through faith; Ephesians 2:8,9. That receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour, through believing on his name, you are spiritually born as a son of God; John 1:11,12. That a man must believe in his heart, Romans 10:9,10; that Jesus Christ died as the substitute payment for his sins, 2 Corinthians 5:21; and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. That salvation is understood to include repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ; Acts 20:21. We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ washes away “all” our sins; Revelation 1:5; 1 John 1:7. That once a man is saved he is “sealed unto the day of redemption” and forever a child of God; Ephesians 4:30.
The Virgin Birth
We believe the Old Testament prophecies of a Saviour witnessed through the sign of a virgin’s conception and birth have been fulfilled in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ, through Mary his mother; Genesis 3:15; Isaiah 7:14; Matthew 1:21-23; Luke 1:2. That Mary was privileged to be his mother but was also a sinner herself in need of a Saviour; Luke 1:46,47. And that although Jesus was the “firstborn” to Mary she did not remain a perpetual virgin after his birth Matthew 1:25; Mark 6:3,4.
The Creation
We believe in the literal creation account of Genesis 1. That evolution (and theistic evolution), are myths and lies based on “science falsely so called” 1 Timothy 6:20 and “philosophy…after the tradition of men” Colossians 2:8. That all things were created literally in one week by the eternal Word of God, John 1:1-3; Colossians 1:16; Revelation 3:14. That creation is testified to throughout the bible, as evidenced in: the ten commandments Exodus 20:10,11; by the testimony of Lord Jesus Christ Matthew 19:4 as well as by Paul the apostle Romans 5:12-14.
The Christian Lifestyle
We believe the Christian life is not a lifestyle but a life; the life of Christ, Colossians 3:4. That a yielded believer is a sanctified vessel, 2 Timothy 2:20,21. We believe that the crucified life Galatians 2:20, is the intended work of the cross and that “this is the will of God” for every Christian, “even your sanctification” 1 Thessalonians 4:3; and “that every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour” 1 Thessalonians 4:4. We believe this can be attained, Philippians 3:9-16; only by faith, Galatians 3:11. That “as ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord”, by faith alone, “so walk ye in him” by faith alone, Colossians 2:5-7. That separation alone is the product of bondage, Galatians 5:1. That it is to God’s glory that the very life of Christ be manifest through vessels that are sanctified, 2 Corinthians 4:6-11; John 17:17-19. We believe that the Christian life can be victorious, 1 Corinthians 15:57; Romans 7:25; and triumphant through the cross, Colossians 2:14,15. That also the fruit bearing life of John 15:5; can only be attained through faith, reckoning yourself dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God, Romans 6: 6-12, 22. That a primary objective of this ministry will pray and labor for the enlightened understanding of all members to this end Ephesians 1:15-19, 4:11-14.
The Church and Israel
We believe the true church belongs to Christ, Matthew 16:18. That in scattered locations there are assemblies of professing believers who gather into local churches, 1 Corinthians 1:2, Galatians 1:2. That it is not a single denomination but the assembly of all true believers which make up his body, the universal church, Ephesians 1:22,23. That the church is made up of both Jews and Gentiles, Ephesians 2:11-22. That no person on earth is the head of the church but Christ alone, Colossians 1:18. That the church is the bride of Christ, Ephesians 5:28-32. That the church is to become the ceremonial wife of Christ in heaven during the tribulation, Revelation 19:7. That the church is distinct from Israel, 1 Corinthians 10:32. That the church has not taken the place of Israel, Romans 11:25,26. That God is not done with the Jew, Jeremiah 31:35-37.
The Second Coming of Christ
We believe that the return of Christ is twofold, the revelation and the rapture. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ will literally and visibly return to reign on earth/his revelation, Revelation 11:15, 19:16, and that his revelation is imminent, Revelation 22: 20. That the world is on course with an apocalyptic climax called the battle of Armageddon, Revelation 16:13-16. That Christ will return at the end of Daniel’s 70th week (a seven year period), also called the tribulation, Daniel 9:24-27; Matthew 24:21. That prior to the seven year tribulation and his return to judge the world, the church will be “caught up”, commonly referred to as the rapture, to meet the Lord in the air, 1 Thessalonians 4:15-18; Revelation 4:1-3.
The Gifts of the Spirit
We believe that all the gifts of the Spirit are actively in existence today but that their “administrations” and “operations” are different than in the beginning of their institution; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6, 28-30. We believe that the gifts specifically designated as “signs” had a unique apostolic purpose; 2 Corinthians 12:12. That the purpose of these gifts, as signs, were required by “Jews”, 1Corinthians 1:22; that these signs were for Jews that were unbelievers, 1 Corinthians 14:22. We believe that these gifts designated as signs were not only to convince unbelieving Jews, but also to confirm the unwritten word, Mark 16:20; Hebrews 2:3,4. We believe that Satan will counterfeit these particular gifts in the last days, 2 Thessalonians 2:9; and that his deceptive counterfeit has been popularized by the improper use of and the over emphasis of talking and praying in unknown tongues, supernatural healings, and false prophecies, 1 Corinthians 14; Revelation 13:12-14, 16:13,14. We believe that charity is “a more excellent way”, 1 Corinthians 12:31.
Predestination
We believe that predestination is clearly a bible word that does not define who will actually get saved, but rather is used to define the (pre)destiny of those who are saved, those who are “in Christ”, who “first trusted”, and who “believed” the gospel that they might be saved, Ephesians 1:1, 11-13. We believe that there is a predestined end to all those that are “in Christ” which includes: being called, being justified, being glorified, being conformed to the image of his Son, and being inseparably joined to the love of God “in Christ”, Romans 8:28-38, 39. We believe that God has extended salvation for “all men to be saved”, 1 Timothy 2:4-6; and that that every man has a freewill-Psalms 119:108/to choose-Joshua 24:15/to believe-John3:16.
The Holy Bible
We believe in the divine preservation of the holy scriptures, 2 Timothy 3:15,16. We believe that God chose not to preserve the originals while still preserving his words; Jeremiah 36:4,18,23,28. That through the guidance of the Holy Spirit and the instrumentality of man, God Almighty has preserved his words and not just his teachings, Psalms 12:6,7; 2 Peter 1:20,21; Matthew 24:35. We believe that in time, God supernaturally guided believers in determining the order and canon of scripture, John 17:6-8,14,20. That the preservation process of God’s words extends even to the punctuation, Matthew 5:18. We believe that God chose to culminate the preservation of his words in these last days in the universal language of English and that it is found in its perfect form in the Authorized Version of the Old King James Bible, Luke 4:36; Ecclesiastes 8:4. We do not believe in King James Onlyism, that the Holy Spirit is bound to use only the King James Bible in the salvation and doctrinal grounding of any individual. Believers have liberty to use any bible version of their choice, but we believe that the ultimate final and absolute authority in all matters of faith and practice are to be determined solely by comparing scripture with scripture, Romans 4:3; Acts 17:2,11. That when comparing scripture with scripture, the Old King James Bible trumps any and all other versions, translations, opinions, and authorities, Jeremiah 23:28-31. That this is made evident in its glorifying of Christ, John 5:39; Luke 24:27,32; and in its God honoured fruit, Proverbs 8:8,19; Matthew 7:16,20. We believe that the accountability in a decision regarding God’s words is to be taken seriously, with trembling and awe, Isaiah 66:2; Psalms 119:161.
